Jab style thermocouple plugs and jacks are usually used for the larger gauge wires such as 14, 11 , and a small gauge (14-20) versions. The jab style connectors use set screws on the sides to give a couple wires are fed up through the bottom of the connector. This allows the wires to be connected wrapping the wires around screw terminals.
