Slip Cast Alumina Silica Refractoly Tube Slip cast alumina silica refractory tubes have a maximum service temperature of 1500'F (815'C). These tubes are constructed by casting the refractory material around a 112" sleel or 304 stainless steel protection tube. Alumina silica refractory tubes are used in mollenZinc and Aluminum die casting applications. Alumina silica tubes have excellent thermal shock and mechanical damage resistance . They are non-wetting and will not contaminate the molten metal as a stainless steel or iron protection tube.
