Refractory fiber and cement laminated tubes have a maximum service temperature of 1500'F (815'C). The tips of the tubes are made from silicon carbide to increase the response time. Refractory tubes are used in molten Zinc and Aluminum die casting applications. These refractory tubes will not shatter like ceramic tubes. They also will not contaminate the molten metal as a stainless steel or iron protection tube.

Floating Refractoly Thermocouple

36" Type K 20 Gauge

Refractory floats are ideal for hand ladling applications. They will read the temperature 3" below the molten metal surlace. A silicon carbide tip gives them a fast response time. Mounting sets are available. Ask one of our sales engineers for details.

Refractoly Tube With Thermocouple

314" Refractory fiber and cement laminated tubes have a maximum seruice temperature of 1500"F (815'C). The tubes come complete with a 2A gauge Type K thermocouple and 36" of lead wire installed. This eliminates the need to buy them separately. - Add the required thermocouple length (-) as the suffix. 12", 18", 21",24', and 36", are stocked. Dual thennocouples available.
