Heater Ribbon -

Type A and Type C

The Arklay S. Richards Co., lnc. offers two types of resistance heating ribbon. The RICHARDS NRA or Type A resistance heat- ing ribbon is composed of 80% Nickel and 20% Chromium. lt has a lowerlemperature coefficient of resistance when compared to Type C resistance ribbon. The Type A resistance ribbon has a usable temperature range up to 1150'C or 2100'F. The RICHARDS NRC or Type C resistance heating ribbon is composed of 60% Nickel, 16% Chromium, and the balance lron. The Type C has a usable temperature range up to 1000'C or 1 850'F. lt has a higher coetlicient of resistance when compared to the Type A ribbon. Both types of ribbon have excellent corrosion resistance. The Type C is very useful in applications where a high resistance is required within a limited space. ln heating and technical applications, the Type A is most commonly used. The Type A and Type C resistance ribbon are both offered in large or small spool sizes. Phone one of our sales engineers for details.
